Nebraska Star Party

by Lorri May-Kinstad

I just returned home from a week of wonderful skies and people at the third annual Nebraska Star Party. This was one of the best star parties I have ever attended: *great organization*, beautiful scenery, darkest sky I've seen in a *long* time, fascinating programs, and that good old midwestern friendliness!

Grand prize of the door prized was a Meade ETX Maksutov/Cassegrain. I won a Lumicon Oxygen III filter; there were many other great prizes, too!

Hats off to the Prairie Astronomy Club in Lincoln, NE and the Omaha Astronomy Club for a fine week of good seeing and great activities!

I plan to attend NSP 4, held August 2-9, 1997, near Valentine, NE. Check it out!
