August 10th Photos

The following views of the observing field were taken with "KiteCam" (built by Mark Dahmke). It contains a color CCD video camera, a video transmitter and two 9v batteries. Video is recorded on a camcorder for later playback and image capture. The camera is attached to the string about 50' below the kite, which improves stability and makes it easier to launch. The batteries typically last for 20 minutes.
