Welcome to the Seventh Annual Nebraska Star Party. Our mission is simple: Dark Skies in a setting that the entire family can enjoy. We hope that you enjoy the NSP daytime activities, and invite you to take advantage of the many things to see and do in the Valentine area. We are again hosting the popular Beginner’s Field School, Beach Party BBQ, two catered meals, the ever-popular Ice Cream Social, and a wonderful slate of speakers. And of course, more door prizes than ever. For ideas and details, please consult this Program Guide and the other materials in your registration packet.

I’d also like to recognize the people who have worked since August to make the 2000 NSP a success. Anyone who’s ever been a part of a project like this knows that it’s the volunteers who make it a reality. Please join me in thanking the planning committee, our Valentine hosts, and everyone else who has carried a table, sorted a T-shirt, or answered a question.
